潮州菜脯 Teochew Handmade Cai Poh

Teochew Handmade Cai Poh preserved vegetables, namely dried radish, are a very classic local snacks.

Cooking method

1. Wash and cut into pieces and add into porridge directly, often eat as breakfast;
2. As a seasoning dish such as slicing and shrimp as soup, it is known as longtongue and Fengwei soup, and is more often used for fish or meat cooking;
3. Fry with eggs to form a cake, namely "preserved eggs with vegetables" one of Teochew famous dish
4. Health food has appetized and Xiaoshi, the effect of eliminating wind and air.
5. The preserved vegetables for more than ten years can use for drinking with water. It has obvious effect of relieving cough, phlegm, relieving food and appetize, clearing heat and detoxification.

潮州菜脯即萝卜干,是一道非常经典的地方风味小吃。

食用方法
1.洗净撕开,直接送白粥,常于早餐食用;
2.作潮菜配料,如切片加鲜虾做汤,有龙舌凤尾汤之美称,更常用于配鱼或肉烹煮;
3.与鸡蛋一并煎至成饼状,即潮州名菜“菜脯蛋”
4.保健食用,有开胃消食,消风行气之效。
5.十年以上的老菜脯,一碰即化,用以冲水饮用,其止咳化痰、消食开胃,清热解毒功效甚为明显。
